    Writing A Blog Article In 30 Minutes Flat Time

    There is one thing that a blogger cannot separate from him ever – writing. He has to write constantly till his blog is live because his writing has made him popular among people. Writing good posts consistently over a long period of time is not easy as people are expecting more out of you. Writing a good post requires some time but today, this post will help you in writing an article in 30 minutes flat time.

    I assume that you have already done every bit of research and are ready with the facts and figures you will be using in the post. These things will not be collected during the course of the writing.

    0 – 15 minutes just keep writing

    You have an idea in your head and you need to pen in down. No editing and no reviews during the course of writing. Your first aim should be to write down what all you have in your head regarding this topic. Reviewing in between will create lot of chaos because it will make you forget some wonderful lines that you were about to put in between. Your mind will divert and you will not be able to write a wonderful post. But make sure you do not make any grammatical and spelling errors. Although MS Word will automatically correct you or notify you, it’s best you not commit them.

    Next 5 minutes – Review your article, edit it and fine-tune it

    Remove all the major and minor glitches. This is the part when you re read the article and see that the language is right or not. Can you shuffle some words to make it an interesting read? Can this line be eliminated because it does not fit the context of the article? Will some new words completely change the experience of reading?

    Next 5 minutes – Images and figures

    Actually, you can save these 5 minutes if you do not use tables, figures and images in your writing often. If you do, then it takes some time because you do not want to ruin what you have written because of some image that was not aligned properly. Give some time to correct the settings and make sure you check the post preview with those images. On my part, I use Windows Live Writer that is a WYSIWYG. This way I make sure that I never make mistakes that creep up while publishing.

    Next 5 minutes – the Tits and Bits

    For me, this is the most tedious part. This include deciding in which category you put the post, what are the tags that go with it and what keywords should be included to make it a smash hit among search engines. These might come last in this list but they are certainly not less important.

When trying to choose the blogging platform or software you want to use, a few simple steps can often help narrow down what might best suit your needs.

      Purpose

      Your purpose behind wanting a blog will immediately steer you toward the type of blogging platform that won’t frustrate you, overwhelm you, or tangle you up in plug-ins if you probably won’t use them. If you have a commercial or business website, you may want a more in-depth platform with a few more bells and whistles. To determine which fits best, ask yourself why you want to start a blog. Generally, blogs are for personal or professional use.

      The platform that suits best may differ according to the Intent behind it. Some questions that might help narrow down your choices may include:

      1. Are you wanting an online journal for random or themed thoughts?

          With the tonnage of hot tips and disinformation which oozes through the internet about marketing, anyone could be forgiven for thinking that internet marketing was incredibly easy. It isn’t. The internet is one huge discretionary audience, and if it doesn’t want to be there, then it won’t be there.  If you’re marketing computer support services, your information must have value to people seeking computer support services.

          As a matter of fact, marketing on the internet is actually harder than conventional marketing. Getting attention is difficult enough, keeping it can be just as hard. In any commercial context, your core audience can be a hard target, and it’s a target you must hit.

          Core audience targeting basics

          Consider for a moment exactly why you look at anything on the internet. The main reason is that the things you look at have a level of value to you, right? Now also consider the fact that that just about all internet users simply ignore large numbers of advertisements every minute. In a few hours, the average internet user ignores several thousand advertisements.

          There’s an extremely good reason for that. The human brain automatically and quite rightly edits out irrelevant information and anything deemed to be unnecessary, a waste of effort or obstructive. Most of the internet advertisements can reasonably described as being exactly that.

          It’s quite common to see websites where the marketing of services is severely underdone. It’s quite obvious that the audience simply isn’t receiving information on these subjects. Even with a core audience, the business simply isn’t attracting customers.

          Core audiences are even tougher. When looking for information, they’re not looking for anything but information, and they will be absolutely ruthless in disregarding anything which doesn’t meet their criteria. In the case of computer support, for instance, it’s quite possible to lose track of the core user group simply because something which is related to computer support doesn’t look like it’s related to computer support.

          The next stage in audience targeting is developmental and is based on the same fundamental principles, but expands the framework. For example, an issue related to computer support can be computer repairs. While the possible connections are obvious, these are two separate functions, and certainly not synonymous. For marketing purposes, if you’re running a computer support business, which includes computer repairs, you absolutely must ensure that your core audience gets the message that you provide both services.

          Always remember that your core audience also needs access to additional information. Internal cross links can save you a lot of time and effort can do a lot to make sure that your core audience can always access the things they need to know to use your services or buy your products.

          Your core audience is your business. Give them what they want and need, and they’ll give you the business you need.

            What Are You Blogging About – Writing Your Opinions Or Endorsing Other’s Views?

            As a blogger, I visit other blogs frequently. Some of them are my favorites and some I just visit every now and then to see what they are writing. And it happens often that when I read various posts, there are some topics or ideas on which I have my own point of view.

            Bit confusing? Let me explain it more clearly. For example, suppose I am reading an article on how to get good-targeted traffic for free. In the post, the point number 3 says that Guest posts are more effective that comments. But in my opinion, I think commenting is more effective (it is just an example). So, I decide to write on this giving my point of view that why I feel so.

            The point, which I want to make here, is that you should write what you feel. Writing on your gut feeling and giving your own opinion on what have been told numerous times in the same way is not a bad option. It may differ from others but you have a valid point, which should be known to others.

            I have often seen that many bloggers tend to write with general consensus. NO OFFENCE GUYS, it is your own way of thinking and looking at things and no to brains are same. What I exactly want to say that some bloggers, especially newbies, are a bit afraid of taking risks. Their blog is new and they think that writing against something that everyone agrees with will not be a good idea in the initial days because if what they said is not true, people might reject him and his blogging career may come to an end before it really takes off. And it is quite obvious on their part. They play safe to ensure they are not written off immediately.

            But I would like to advise all bloggers to write what they feel. It is your blog and you have started to write your own views and not to endorse others. It is possible that once or twice your readers do not agree with you but more often you will get encouragement. And if you are wrong, others will correct you so that it will be a learning phase for you. And finally, my view on this approach is as follows- as a blog reader, I would prefer to read different views on the same topic rather than reading same views by everyone because that help me in deciding what is the right take on a particular topic and may be, my misconceptions are cleared.

            So, here is my view on this. I would love to hear on this not-so-traditional approach of mine, which, I believe, will benefit the blogosphere in the long run.

              In this day and age of social networking, branding yourself and your product, company, or service is extremely important. After all, information about your brand can spread like wildfire across the countless social networks, so it makes sense that you would want to take advantage of a medium like that.

              Unfortunately, bad press can just as quickly spread throughout the internet, thus negatively affecting your brand. Consider the PR nightmare that BP endured when someone started the fake account @BPGlobalPR Even if your brand is infinitesimally smaller than that of BP’s, you should still be wary of bad press.

              So how can you avoid bad press on social networks and online?

              Well, first you have to control your brand. This means purchasing domains related to your brand before someone else can. You should register accounts with Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks and link them together. The key here is to make the move first. If you control the domain name, you have the advantage in controlling your brand, even if you don’t yet have a website up. BP’s public relations team would have benefitted from trying to register many iterations of BP on Twitter, simply to keep those possibilities out of the hands of others; of course, they never expected that to happen, and so now find themselves a case-study regarding managing one’s brand.

              Secondly, you have to act on that advantage. Create a base that controls your brand, and from that base link out to the other pages you have on Twitter and Facebook. If you have a central focus that ultimately defines your brand, you can use that central focus to help you decide how else you will present your brand in other social networks.  Consider the example of Judith Griggs and Cooks Source, a New England cooking magazine, which was recently embroiled in a plagiarism scandal that eventually cost them the majority of their advertising revenue, thus forcing them to close down. Griggs’ first mistake, aside from failing to immediately apologize, was failing to understand how the internet worked: she didn’t have an active website, and she failed to understand how to moderate her Facebook page. She ultimately lost control of her brand.

              Finally, you have to always be vigilant regarding your brand name and move to immediately respond to potential damage to your brand. This means saving searches within Twitter regarding your brand name and constantly checking search results. Likewise, you should set up a Google Alerts notification that will email you whenever your brand appears anywhere on the internet. That way you can stay up-to-date regarding what’s being said about you and your company.

              Of course, how you respond to a public relations nightmare is just as important; in fact, its so important that it probably needs a post of its own. How would you respond to bad press regarding you or your brand?
